Is PUTTLE suitable for kids?
PUTTLE is a family-friendly mini-golf puzzle a child can play: no violence, no purchases needed to finish anything, no chat, no strangers in a voice lobby. Balls and trails are earned in play; an optional tip adds only a thank-you shelf of looks. The input is one gesture — drag back and let go — and the first tee shows a little slingshot coach until the first putt. Younger players may still want help with timed toys like windmills and laser gates, and with the island edges: rolling off costs a stroke. It is a puzzle, not a tap-to-win toy.
What a parent should know: a finished daily is posted to the leaderboard under a display name — a generated alias such as Lucky Otter unless one is typed in. Other players' display names (up to 16 characters; a name with swearing, a slur or a crude word is refused and shows as an alias instead) appear on the leaderboard, over the ghost balls that race beside you, and beside the player-named holes in 🌟 Player holes; 👻 Players' ghosts in the pause menu turns those ghosts off. The game page may show Google AdSense ads; nothing in the game is for sale, and tips are optional.
Everyone on that local date plays the same five holes, so a parent and a child can compare cards without playing at the same instant. A share link even lets one race the other's ghost ball on the same course, and Play with friends puts up to eight players, each on their own device, on one course at the same time. Share when you want; a finished daily always goes on the board, but only under its display name.
Play together on one device
👨👩👧 Play with your family is pass-and-play for two to four players on one phone, tablet or computer: it's on the title at the weekend and in Practice any day. Type the names, pick three holes or five, and pass the device round. Each player putts each hole in turn, a card between turns says whose go it is, and the fewest strokes wins. It never touches anyone's streak or the leaderboard.
A class or a family on several devices can make a friends crew. On a school day the title's 🏫 Start a class crew shows a code big enough for a whiteboard and a QR code to scan. A crew has its own daily board, its own Weekly Open and its own 🌞 Weekend Cup, which adds up each Saturday's and Sunday's cards. For teachers: mini golf for the classroom.
Short sessions
A round is five holes and usually a few minutes. There is no clock. You can pause from the menu; an in-progress daily is checkpointed if you close the tab. The World Tour has 69 practice courses, scored in stars, for as much extra golf as anyone wants — and it never touches the daily streak.
Easy to start, optional to install
Open the site on a phone, tablet, or laptop with a current browser. Drag back and release. That is the whole input.
