ABOUT

About PUTTLE

PUTTLE is a free daily 3D mini-golf puzzle — like Wordle for golf. You play it in any modern browser at puttle.golf. There is no download and no account.

What it is

Each local calendar day has one 5-hole course, laid out on a ring of floating sky islands. The course is seeded by the date, so every player on that date gets the same holes, the same par, and the same obstacles. You slingshot-putt, bank off rails, time the moving toys, and try to finish at or under par. Then you can share a spoiler-free scorecard.

Every hole has a shape — a straight, a dogleg, an S-bend, a horseshoe, a zigzag, or a hook — and most carry a signature toy: glass pipes, a creek and waterfall, a turntable, a pendulum, a ring vault, a vortex, a loop, a jump, a spiral, a Sky Cannon. The five holes build from a friendly opener to a finale with two toys; from daily #133 (Sunday 11 October 2026) every Sunday's finale is a designed Sunday Signature (in Halloween week the night's own finale takes its place), and from 25 to 31 October the dailies move to Haunted Hollow for Halloween week. Twenty-three worlds rotate by the day, from Blossom to Savanna Safari, each with its own look, music, and signature obstacle. The newer worlds join the daily rotation one by one through daily #246 (Monday 1 February 2027); dailies before #134 rotate six worlds.

The skill is line and pace. The dots show your line to the first bounce. You judge the power, the banks, and when a toy is worth the risk.

Wordle for golf

People looking for a Wordle for golf or a golf Wordle want that daily ritual: one shared puzzle, a few minutes, a spoiler-free scorecard. PUTTLE is that daily with five 3D mini-golf holes instead of a five-letter word. It is not affiliated with Wordle or the New York Times. Longer explanation: Wordle for mini golf. Other dailies in the same shape: games like Wordle.

How the daily works

Open puttle.golf and play today's course. Drag back from anywhere like a slingshot and release to putt. Pull farther for more power. On a keyboard, ← → aim, ↑ ↓ set power, and Space putts.

A round is five holes. Par is the target stroke count. Under par is better; over par is extra strokes; E means even (exactly par). The course is the puzzle:

One optional gem sits on each hole's daring line. Gems never change your score; they unlock balls and trails in the Locker. Each daily also has a bonus goal worth extra gems.

The daily is one official attempt. If you close the tab mid-round, a checkpoint keeps your place. Between dailies, the World Tour has three practice courses per world, scored in stars. Practice never touches your streak.

A new course appears at local midnight, when your calendar date changes. Everyone on that local date plays the same five holes.

PUTTLE Classic

PUTTLE started as a pixel-art game. That original is still at PUTTLE Classic, and it shares your streak, your leaderboard name, and your friends crews with the 3D game. One daily a day counts toward the streak — whichever game you play first. PUTTLE 3D needs WebGL 2; a browser without it is offered PUTTLE Classic instead.

Who makes PUTTLE

PUTTLE is an independent game made by one person, not a studio. Day #1 was 1 June 2026, as a pixel-art game; it became a 3D game on 24 September 2026. Bugs, ideas and notes reach its maker through the feedback form at https://puttle.golf/support#feedback, and every change is dated on What's new.

What's free

PUTTLE is completely free. You do not pay to play, and balls and trails in the Locker are earned in play, not bought. Optional one-time tips help keep it little and free; they unlock nothing in play, only a thank-you shelf in the Locker. Google AdSense may show ads. Stats, streaks, and an in-progress daily live in the browser on your device, backed up under an anonymous id (see Privacy).

You can install PUTTLE as a progressive web app (PWA) for one-tap daily rounds, including Add to Home Screen on many phones — it is not an App Store or Google Play listing. See Install PUTTLE. Keyboard play and reduced motion: accessible mini golf.

Leaderboard, crews, and ghosts

There is a global honor-system leaderboard and optional friends crews. You can pick a public display name (at most 16 characters); you still do not need an account. Crews use a 6-letter code. How posting works: PUTTLE FAQ. What the board stores: Privacy.

After a round, the share link carries your round as a ghost. A friend who opens it plays today's course with your ghost ball putting alongside theirs — your stroke, at the same moment in theirs — and the results card says who won. ⚔️ Challenge a friend on the results card sends that link for the whole round or for a single hole. Every daily also seats you in a foursome with up to three other players' ghosts and names the winner. The Weekly Open adds each player's cards from Monday to Sunday. Once a calendar month the 🏆 Monthly Major is one nine-hole course for everyone, with its own board; your first round is the one that counts. For a live game, 🎉 Play with friends puts you and up to seven friends on one practice course at the same time, each ball on the course in its own colour. More: mini golf with friends.

What PUTTLE is not

PUTTLE is not a golf simulator. It does not model real-world clubs, swing mechanics, or championship 18-hole golf. Holes are putt-putt toys on floating islands, not a scan of a tour venue.

It is not a golf-themed Wordle. Those games hide a five-letter word and score guesses like strokes. PUTTLE is slingshot putting.

The daily is not a live match. You play it on your own, then compare — on the board, in a crew, in the Weekly Open, or against a friend's ghost. Real-time play is a separate mode: 🎉 Play with friends puts up to eight players on the same practice course at the same time.

It is not a downloadable app-store title you have to install before you can try it. The game is the website. Install the PWA if you want a home-screen icon; it is optional.

It is not the physical Puttle putting game and its putting mat. That product is unrelated. This PUTTLE is the daily mini-golf puzzle at puttle.golf. It is not Golfle either — a name used by more than one golf game, including a guess-the-golfer daily and a daily cave-golf app (as of October 2026).

Other daily mini golf games

Other daily mini-golf games exist, and several have similar names. putt.day serves one hole a day. PuttDaily serves a three-hole course. Puttdle — with a d — serves five holes. Coffee Golf is a 5-hole daily as a phone app. PUTTLE is none of them: it is a 5-hole 3D course on floating sky islands that you play in the browser at puttle.golf, with no App Store and the same layout for everyone on that local date. This page is not a ranked list; a side-by-side is at daily mini golf games.

PUTTLE is a small daily puzzle: five holes, one shared course, a few minutes, then tomorrow's islands. Scoring is stroke play versus par; off the island is +1, and gems never change the card — PUTTLE scoring. The physics framing: golf puzzle game. The twenty-three worlds: PUTTLE worlds.
