Halloween mini golf: Haunted Hollow
Every year from 25 to 31 October, PUTTLE's free daily 3D mini-golf course moves to Haunted Hollow — slate islands under a harvest moon, jack-o'-lanterns on the rails, bats, and a witch crossing the sky. Play it at https://puttle.golf in any modern browser. Everyone on that date gets the same five spooky holes.
When to play
- 1–24 October: the everyday worlds turn to fall — maples and gold cottonwoods, hay bales and scarecrows, geese heading south. Same holes, autumn colors.
- 1 October – 7 November: random Haunted Hollow courses are in practice, on the 🌍 World Tour sheet. Each one plays one of the seven nights, and none of them touch your streak.
- 25–31 October: every daily is a Haunted Hollow night, the same for every player on that date. In 2026 those are dailies #147 to #153.
Seven nights, seven finales
Each date is the same night every year, with its own weather and a designed set piece on hole 5 (a par 5):
- 🪦 Graveyard Shift, 25 October — finale: The Boneyard.
- 🎃 Pumpkin Patch, 26 October — finale: The Great Pumpkin.
- 🧹 Witch's Wood, 27 October — finale: Witch's Brew.
- 🏚️ Haunted Manor, 28 October — finale: The Manor.
- ⚰️ Crypt Crawl, 29 October — finale: The Catacombs.
- 🦇 Vampire's Castle, 30 October, under a blood moon — finale: Castle Dracula.
- 👻 All Hallows' Eve, 31 October — finale: Trick or Treat, with open graves, zombie hands and the spider on one hole.

How to beat the Hollow
- 👻 Phantom gates are solid only while they glow, and they shiver just before they firm up. Go while they're faint.
- 🪦 Open graves open their slabs in a wave down the row. Roll over a slab while it's shut or round the open end of each grave — and never stop on one. A ball that drops in costs +1.
- 🧟 Zombie hands rise in staggered rows and stop a ball dead. Roll in just as a row sinks and keep pace with the wave.
- 🕷️ The spider's drop blocks the middle of the lane while it's down, and the cobwebs either side eat your pace. Time it to slip under while it's up.
- The classics wear costumes: pinball bumpers are jack-o'-lanterns, the spinner is a scarecrow, pegs are candles, a vortex is a cauldron, and the sand is cobwebs.
The timed ones make a sound before they move: slabs grind, hands groan, the spider skitters. Every obstacle in one place: PUTTLE hazards.
Spooky, not scary
Haunted Hollow is cartoon Halloween — pumpkins, will-o'-wisps, a haunted house with a ghost circling it, and a music-box waltz with owls and crickets. No gore. The rules don't change: stroke play against par, rolling off an island is +1, and gems never change your card. It's free, there's no account, and a round takes a few minutes, so it suits a family Halloween too: family mini golf.
