PUTTLE is a Wordle for mini golf: one short daily course everyone shares, then a scorecard without spoilers. Instead of guessing letters you putt five 3D mini-golf holes on floating sky islands, one course per local date. Play free at https://puttle.golf. What "Wordle for golf" means here
Wordle's rhythm is the point: one puzzle per local calendar day, identical for every player, done in a few minutes, then a grid you can post. PUTTLE copies that ritual and swaps letters for putts. You get five mini-golf holes instead of a five-letter word. Par is the target, not a hidden word.
Whether you call it a golf Wordle or a Wordle for minigolf, PUTTLE is the putting version, not a crossword about birdies. There is no typing. You slingshot-putt, bank off rails, time the windmills, and try to finish at or under par.
Not a golf word game
Golf-themed Wordle clones still hide a five-letter word. Each guess is a stroke on a card. PUTTLE has no typing and no hidden word. You putt through a shared course.
Not NYT Wordle Golf
The New York Times published Wordle Golf as a nine-day or eighteen-day tally of Wordle guess counts, scored like bogeys on a card. PUTTLE does not tally guesses. It is slingshot putting on a shared course.
Wordle vs PUTTLE
- Cadence — both reset at local midnight. Miss a PUTTLE day, or a whole weekend, and a streak freeze saves you; run out of freezes and the streak resets.
- The shared object — Wordle shares a word. PUTTLE shares a 5-hole course seeded by the date, so your friend is reading the same dogleg in the same world.
- The skill — Wordle is vocabulary and pattern. PUTTLE is line, pace, and timing: the dots show your line only to the first bounce.
- The share card — both stay spoiler-free. PUTTLE's card is a row of colored squares too — one per hole, from 🌟 ace to 🔴 double bogey — under each hole's toy icon, with your total to par.
- The rivalry — Wordle compares grids. PUTTLE's share link also carries a ghost: your friend plays the same course with your ball putting alongside theirs.
- Replay — Wordle is one official word. PUTTLE's daily is one official card; the World Tour is practice and does not touch the streak or the board.
How a golf Wordle round plays
Open the site, drag back from anywhere like a slingshot, and release to putt. Pull farther for more power. Sink all five holes. Rolling off an island is +1, then you play again from where you putted. Sand slows, ice glides, jumps and pipes want the right pace, and rails are for banks. Optional gems never change your score, and each daily has a bonus goal worth a 🎯 on your card.

Same ritual, different games
PUTTLE is not NYT Games, not Connections, not a golf-themed Wordle clone with letters. It is not a live match and not a golf simulator.
It is also not the physical Puttle putting game and its putting mat. That product is unrelated. This PUTTLE is the daily mini-golf puzzle at puttle.golf.
It is not Golfle either — a name used by more than one golf game, including a guess-the-golfer daily and a daily cave-golf app (as of October 2026). Other browser mini-golf dailies exist too: some serve one hole, some three generated levels. PUTTLE is a five-hole sky-island course, the same layout for everyone on that local date.
