What is PUTTLE?

PUTTLE is a free daily 3D mini-golf puzzle — like Wordle for golf — at puttle.golf. One 5-hole course a day, the same for everyone. No download. No account. Not a word game. Not the physical Puttle putting game or its putting mat. Not affiliated with Wordle or the New York Times.

Drag back from anywhere like a slingshot and release to putt. Sink five holes on floating sky islands versus par — rolling off an island is +1 and you play again from where you were, with one mulligan a round. Gems are optional and never change your card. Practice on the World Tour any time; it never touches your streak.

Eight worlds, each with its own signature obstacle: Blossom, Canyon, Frost, Neon, Lagoon, Cosmic, Coral Deep and Backyard Giants. Race a friend's ghost from their share link, play a Live 1v1, post to the leaderboard and the Monday–Sunday Weekly Open, play the nine-hole Monthly Major, or build your own hole in the Hole Builder.

A new course unlocks at local midnight. Stats and streaks live on this device.

🎢 Obstacles & world specials

🎢 Jumps, spirals, windmills. Too soft and you'll roll back; too hot and the cup won't take it — and where a hairpin or a spiral's mouth is open on the outside, a hot ball flies off. Loops: just reach the launch strip — it straightens you up and fires you round (dailies before #125 have none: there a loop wants a near-full-power putt).
💥 Sky Cannon. Sink it in the hopper and you're fired across the sky. The barrel swivels — watch the arc and time your putt.
⭐ Pick a pipe. Every door drops you to the green below — thread the narrow gold one and it pours straight into the cup.
🌀 Signature toys. Creeks sweep soft putts over the falls, pendulums swing, turntables curve your line, vortexes drag you toward an eye that swallows the ball (keep to a lane beside it), ring vaults lock the cup, and warp portals are shortcuts — if you catch them open.
🔀 Forks. Where the fairway splits, the narrow lane is fast but open-edged; the wide one is safe but sandy. Your call.
🦘 Springboards. Roll over the pad going forward and it hops you over the wall (there's usually a gem up there) — or thread the narrow gap by the rail.
⏩ Conveyor belts. The belt switches direction on a rhythm — green arrows carry you, red ones fight you. Putt firm against it, or wait for green. Some climb a terrace.
🏯 Drawbridges. A castle gate over a moat: cross while the bridge is down. Amber lamps mean it's about to lift, and a ball left on it goes in the moat (+1).
⛰️ Sidehills. Where chevrons are painted across a lane, it leans that way — aim up the hill and let the putt break down.
📐 Corners & levels. A bank board across a corner banks you down the next leg if you roll into its target with pace — a soft putt dies in the narrow bit after it. A brink is a gap in the outer rail over a drop: a paced ball curls past on the banking, a firm one sails off (+1). Many holes climb or drop a terrace: more pace up, less down.
🏰 Cup settings. Some greens guard the cup: a castle wall with one doorway (curl round to it, or bank in off the rim), a picket of posts to thread, a bumper crown that kicks, or a screen wall in front of it — bank in off the back rim, or lay up beside it.
🟡 The Gamble. Most finales carry a shortcut marked by a gold ring. Where it hangs in a brink's gap, a firm putt threaded through the middle lands on the green — a ball either side of it is off the island. Where it stands inside the last bend, there's no drop to pay, but the rail is a hand's width away. Some finales are combos: one toy feeds the next on the same stretch.
🌍 World specials. Every world has its own obstacle, and nearly every course visits it. 🌸 Blossom's moon bridges need pace — too soft rolls back, too firm takes off at the crest. 🏜️ Canyon's dust devils wander the lane and whip you round. ❄️ Frost's wind gaps blow you off the open edge — go in the lull. 🌃 Neon's laser gates are solid while lit (they flicker first). 🏝️ Lagoon's blowholes erupt in a wave — follow it through. 🪐 Cosmic's zero-G jumps let a well-struck ball float across the void. 🐠 Coral Deep's bubble lifts float a gently rolled ball up to a shelf — blast it and you sail through. 🌻 Backyard's sprinklers hose the ball wherever their jet points — go while it's round the other way. Listen: the timed ones sound off before they fire.

💎 Gems, stars, ghosts & more

💎 One gem per hole sits on the daring line. It never changes your score — but gems unlock new balls and trails in the 🎱 Locker, and 🏆 trophies for tricks pay out more.
🌍 World Tour. Between dailies, each world has three tour courses that get harder. Finish one for ★, par or better for ★★, three under for ★★★ — and finishing one unlocks the next.
↩︎ One mulligan a round. After a putt stops (or drops off the island), ↩︎ Mulligan takes it back — the stroke, any penalty, and the ball goes back where it was. Everyone has one.
🎯 Daily goal. Every daily has a bonus goal that suits its holes — thread the gold pipe, ride the fast lane, no bogeys… Pull it off for +2 💎 and a 🎯 on your share card.
⚔️ Challenges & ghosts. Challenge a friend on the results card sends a link — the whole round, or just one hole. Whoever opens it lands on the tee with your ghost ball putting alongside theirs — same stroke, same moment — and the card says who won. Every daily also groups you with up to three other players' ghosts as a 🏁 foursome.
🎟 Come back tomorrow. Each daily wraps a 🎁 gift for your next first tee, stamps your 🛂 world passport and, in October, punches the October card — balls and trails for the Locker.
🌬 Wednesday twists. Wednesdays take turns: Windy Wednesday (watch the vane), Mirror day, Night golf and Moon day (low gravity).
🏆 Monthly Major. Nine holes, one course a month for everyone, its own board. Your first round is the one that counts.
⚔️ Live 1v1. Invite a friend to one course and putt it at the same time — you watch their ball roll, they watch yours.
🛠 Hole Builder. In the World Tour: line up toys and turns, play your own hole, send it to a friend — or publish it to 🌟 Player holes for everyone.
📝 Your scorecard. Golf notation: ○ birdie, ◎ eagle or better, □ bogey, ▣ double or worse, and a gold ★ for a hole in one.
🎬 Replays & 📷 photos. Great shots replay automatically (tap ↺ Replay after any sink). Tap 📷 to freeze time and snap a postcard.
